Inse Rail recently joined the Advisory Board of the Master’s program in Railway Systems and Electrical Traction of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, which will begin for the 9th year on October 3rd with an institutional event that will be held in Vilanova i La Geltrú.


The Advisory Board that Inse Rail has joined is made up of leading companies and institutions in the railway sector, for the purpose of providing training that integrates the current needs of the companies and institutions in the professional world into the teaching curriculum. Each year, this requires the preparation of a scope that is eminently practical, in a context that is constantly changing, which provides a great deal of added value for the companies, for the UPC, and especially for the students.


This master’s degree in Railway Systems and Electrical Traction is one of the leading programs in advanced training in technical aspects of railways: operation of railway services, rolling stock, and vehicle maintenance, electrification and energy, signaling, communications, and railway traffic management. To achieve this, the Master’s program receives contributions from the best and most experienced technical specialists in railway systems and the current executives of the most representative companies in the sector.


In turn, the program offers participants the possibility of completing professional internships with prestigious companies in the sector.


The main objectives are:


- To train professionals who form part of different segments of the railway sector business.

- To examine aspects related to electrification, signaling, communications, rolling stock, and management and operation of railway companies in greater depth.

- To offer specific studies on railway installations, vehicles and management.

- To collaborate with cutting-edge companies in this sector, in order to train professionals who are adapted to the market’s needs.
