The mayor of Vilanova i la Geltrú, Neus Lloveras, visited the Catalonian office of the engineering firm Inse Rail. The company, which just signed a collaboration agreement with Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat (FGC) to promote international projects, plans to expand its activity in Catalonia and Vilanova i la Geltrú. The meeting formed part of the mayor's visit to get acquainted with the companies installed in the city first hand.
Neus Lloveras told Inse Rail's representatives that the railway sector is strategic for the city and that initiatives to promote it are therefore welcome. Inse Rail is engaged in engineering and consulting for the railway, industrial, energy, and building construction sectors. The agreement signed with FGC covers collaboration for the commercialization and execution of international railway projects for two years, with the possibility to extend the agreement. In recent years, FGC Internacional has intensified its activity in countries such as Brazil, Panama, Guatemala, Turkey, Cuba, Colombia, and Mexico. It is also participating in the projects in the European Union's H2020 program in the area of smart and green transportation: Hermes, Auggmed and Eutravel.
